Broccoli Seedling | Live Vegetable Plant

from $7.99

Grow fresh broccoli right in your own garden.

Bring one of the most rewarding cool-season vegetables to your garden with our Broccoli Seedling. Broccoli is a wonderful choice for raised beds, traditional vegetable gardens, and larger containers and can provide a beautiful homegrown harvest during the cooler months of the growing season.

Each seedling is started from organic seed and grown using organic potting soil and organic fertilizer before being carefully prepared for its journey to your garden.

Our seedlings are grown in small batches, so each plant receives the time and attention it needs before leaving Gateway Vegan.

What You'll Receive

Choose between:

1 Broccoli Seedling

or

4 Broccoli Seedlings Bundle

Each plant arrives growing in its own 2.6-inch black nursery pot with an established root system.

Because every seedling is a living plant, natural variations in size, color, leaf shape, and appearance should be expected.

Planting Guide

Sun: Full sun, ideally 6+ hours daily

Spacing: Approximately 18–24 inches between plants

Water: Keep soil consistently moist but not soggy. Regular, even watering can help support healthy growth and head development.

Soil: Plant in fertile, well-draining soil rich in organic matter.

Season: Broccoli is a cool-season vegetable that performs best during the milder temperatures of spring and fall.

Growing conditions and planting dates vary by location. We recommend checking your local growing zone and planting calendar before ordering.

Harvesting

Harvest broccoli when the main head is firm, compact, and fully developed but before the individual flower buds begin to open.

Using a clean, sharp garden knife, cut the main head several inches below the head.

Don't be too quick to remove the entire plant after your first harvest. Many broccoli plants can produce smaller side shoots after the main head has been harvested, giving you the opportunity for additional harvests.

Enjoy your homegrown broccoli fresh, roasted, steamed, sautéed, added to soups and stir-fries, or incorporated into your favorite garden-to-table recipes.

Grown With Care

Our seedlings are grown using organic seeds, organic potting soil, and organic fertilizer.

Our plants are not USDA Certified Organic. "Organic" refers specifically to the growing inputs used to produce the seedlings.

Live Plant Shipping

To help your seedlings arrive as healthy as possible, live plants ship on Mondays and Tuesdays only.

Orders placed after 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday will ship the following Monday. If Monday falls on a shipping holiday, orders will ship Tuesday.

We may delay shipment during extreme heat, freezing temperatures, severe weather, or other conditions that could compromise plant health.

Please open your package promptly after delivery and allow your seedling time to recover from its journey before transplanting.

Grown with care. From seed to you.

Plant it. Love it. Watch it grow.
